HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO TAPER OFF OF THE MEDICATION I AM ON?

Lucid Lane is intended to fit into your life and needs. You are required to provide daily feedback via our digital web intake form so that our care team can continue to monitor your condition and progress on an on-going basis. But other than that, we empower you and provide guidance for you to follow through on a daily basis. Results vary by members. But typically you should see significant progress within weeks of starting the program. Edit below: consider changing to below:

Lucid Lane is intended to fit your life and needs. The time needed to taper medication depends on the individual and often times is managed via symptom based feedback. Upon completing the daily feedback regarding your symptoms via our digital web, guidance will be provided regarding symptoms and taper management. Flexibility in tapering time can depend on symptoms and their duration and severity.

How will coaching or therapy help me manage my withdrawal symptoms?

Despite having withdrawal symptoms, members typically have relief given the support provided via their coach or therapist. There is science based evidence that simply talking about the symptoms and getting encouragement that they are normal considering what a member is going through in withdrawal helps a person feel better. In addition, there is evidence that cognitive behavioral therapy is just as effective as medication which can help provide relief from symptoms. Therefore, while the medictaion is being reduced, cognitive behavioral therapy will help to stabilize symptoms by developing tools to manage them.

Will therapy be too intense for me during withdrawal?

Lucid Lane understands that while one is feeling ill through withdrawal, issues such past traumas, relationship issues or financial concerns most likely need to be addressed in depth once a member is feeling better. According to Maslow’s Heiracrchy of Needs, feeling physical well (physiological needs) is the intial building block before other needs can be met or addressed. (Insert link here to show Maslows triangle or keep it below)Therefore, while support can be given in those areas as the member requests and they are ready, it understood that it will most likely not be priority and members will be supported towards managing symptoms (mental and physical) working towards feeling well.

How will tapering or withdrawal affect my daily functioning?

Many people are able to work or keep some level of engagement in their daily lives given they are on the appropriate time line for tapering and have a good support system in place including family, friends, and professionals.

How can I ensure that my family and friends will understand and support me?

Knowledge is power and sharing information from our website here (insert link to printable form with ways loved ones can support them that I can create)  regarding how to support a loved one through benzo withdrawal will help your loved ones support you through withdrawal while at home. It can make a world of difference.
